Todd Bunce, Pastor of Worship
I grew up in northeast New Jersey, in a Christian home and attending a Bible-believing church. As an 8 year old I came to understand that neither my saved parents, my siblings, my church or church attendance were able to save me; only a personal belief in, and confession of, Jesus as Lord and Savior could do that. Since that time my journey with Christ has been filled with so many things – times of joy and thankfulness, times of sadness and fear; times of blessing and times of emptiness; times of growth and times of rebelling – no doubt many of you have had the same experiences. Through it all the grace and faithfulness of our God has been constant, even when I perhaps couldn’t see it.
I am so glad to be a part of the New Hope Community, and to be a part of the worship life of the church. Whatever musical abilities I possess are a gift from God, as is the passion to use them to bring Him praise. It is my delight to praise our Triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and to lead others in doing the same. It is a privilege to be a part of NHCC and the pastoral team. It is an honor to submit ourselves to God, desiring that He use us to bring the gospel message of salvation through Christ alone to those who need it.
I met my wonderful wife Sharon when we were both studying to receive our Music Education degree at Montclair State University in New Jersey. We have been married over 20 years, and have three dearly-loved children – Evan, Lily, and Leah. A dog and two cats add even more fun to a busy home!
